*A tapped pickup adds an extra wire connected part way through the coil allowing you to get two separate outputs out of a single pickup

**The Esquire 'bass circuit' uses a fixed 0.015uF tone capacitor (the equivalent of having the pot rolled all the way off) and bypasses the physical tone pot entirely to mimic a neck pickup, giving it a 'cocked wah' sound.
